Situated at the Blambangan Peninsula on the South-eastern tip of East Java is the Alas Purwo National Park. The park covers an area of 434 sq km and is made up of mangroves, monsoon forest, some savanna and beach forest. The area has a number of Asiatic wild dogs besides Banteng or Javanese wild ox, deer, barking deer and wild boar.

Alas Purwo National Park located in the District Kalipuro, Banyuwangi. It is in crossing the road connecting Banyuwangi and Situbondo. From Banyuwangi can be taken approximately 14 km to the north, or approximately 5 km from the Port of Ketapang.
